Message From The President

Distinguished Friends and Colleagues,

erika-broadwaterWelcome to the Delaware Chapter of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources. We are excited that you have decided to explore our website, taking time to get to know us and explore the events, activities and services we have to offer.

NAAAHR has chapters representing every major city in the United States.  In October of 2011, Delaware was added to the family as the First State Chapter in the First State. This is a monumental leap forward for NAAAHR as we endeavor to reach Delaware from Wilmington to Georgetown and Delmar. Our first year was filled with ground-breaking events to achieve the goals of our partners in diverse HR practices, as well as meeting the needs of our members and supporters. To continue to do so, we intend to partner with leading companies, organizations, Colleges and Universities, and Local/State Government across the DE Region.

It is an honor and privilege for me to serve as President to lead a Board of Directors and Diversity Council who are committed to ensure that our members and guests receive the best in thought leadership, certified educational programs, opportunities to attend powerful networking events, and exposure to exceptional resources throughout the community.

This will allow our members to develop and refine their skill set to make them a better professional and more competitive in the market place. To all HR professionals in the Delaware region who are interested in professional advancement, furthering your company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, and strengthening their programs, we invite you to become an active member of our dynamic Delaware NAAAHR Chapter.

As we build the calendar with phenomenal events and learning opportunities, you will receive newsletters, mailers, and invitations to join us in participating and learning more about all of our activities.

Many thanks to you from your new Delaware Chapter!

Sincerely, Erika Broadwater

NAAAHR Delaware President
